Catalogue Description:
Black-brown steatite head and bust of Serapis from a statuette. Face heavily bearded; top of head flat (for modius)?. Tunic with deep folds on body. Right arm missing but seems to have been raised. Back of object has few details but preserves original finish of surface. Pose suggests piece may have come from seated statue. Condition: Front surface worn. Right arm missing. Figure was probably seated. Crude work but of interest because of its date.
