Visitors from the D/deaf community are invited to experience In the Now: Gender and Nation in Europe, Selections from the Sir Mark Fehrs Haukohl Photography Collection and Nona Faustine: White Shoes in an American Sign Language (ASL) tour led by a Deaf teaching artist. After a brief meet-and-greet, take a critical look through the lens of women photographers who examine gender, nationality, and power structures, as well as hidden legacies of enslavement, colonialism, and assimilation in the places we call home.

    Free; registration  is required.

This tour is designed for the d/Deaf community in ASL only, without voice interpretation. Email access@brooklynmuseum.org  for information about tours for ASL students at level 3 or above.
