Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra
Conductor Felipe Tristan showcases the woodwinds and brass of the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra in Strauss’s delicate Serenade for Winds, followed by the rhythms of Leonard Bernstein’s 1957 hit musical West Side Story. The strings of the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra play the evocative “Adagio” by American composer Samuel Barber. The concert ends with Respighi’s exhilarating depiction of four of Rome’s magnificent baroque fountains.
