Artist Talk—Mary Beth Edelson

Saturday, November 10, 2007, 2–4 pm

New York artist Mary Beth Edelson  talks about her wide-ranging work in the context of the global feminist art movement. Edelson’s exhilarating current art projects, which have been seen in Europe, but not in NYC, will be discussed, as well as her 30-year retrospective recently shown in Sweden and Zurich. She will also speak about ways in which the collective spirit of 1970s feminism(s) is manifested today through collaborations, community-based projects, and leveling imbalances in the art world that disadvantage artists.Tickets for all events are free with Museum admission.
