Women in the Arts 2012

    The Brooklyn Museum hosts its tenth annual Women in the Arts luncheon, honoring Yoko Ono. The program in the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Auditorium will be followed by a reception and luncheon in the Beaux-Arts Court.

    Yoko Ono is a multimedia artist whose thought-provoking work challenges people’s understanding of art and the world around them.

    Women in the Arts was established in 2002 to recognize women’s contributions to the arts. Past honorees include Shirin Neshat, Maya Lin, Annie Leibovitz, Cindy Sherman, and Kara Walker. Proceeds from Women in the Arts benefit the artistic and educational programs offered by the Brooklyn Museum and its Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art.
