    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Jar (a) with lid (b) red sewer pipe clay, salt glazed. The exterior of both jar and lid is highly textured to resemble bark. Jar has short protrusions designed to look like short branches. The interior of the jar is smooth. The lid has two small, branch like protrusions on either side of top. The lid also has two small log like items on either side. The center has a large finial in the shape of a four-branched small tree stump. Both are a dark maroon color. Condition: Fair condition. Jar is missing four of its branch like form. Lid is missing what would have been the fifth and top branch of the finial.
