    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Paint on tin; tin frame. Rectangular religious medallion. Tin frame holding paintings under two pieces of glass; paintings appear to be on tin sheet. Obverse: our Lady of Mercy seated on a cloud with the Christ Child on her lap, extends her right hand holding a scapular in extended right hand. Two angels flank Mary’s head, also shown seated on clouds. Reverse: Trinity depicted as three identical bearded young men seated on clouds above and to left, right, and behind Virgin; left and right figures hold gilt scepters, and gilt crown between them ( above Virgin’s head). Virgin wears red dress with gilt pattern, blue cape with silver pattern, stands on crescent. Tin frame has attached border of serrated and continuously twisted metal band; loop at top center (for chain).
