F.A.M. (Family Art Magic)

Ages 4–6, with an adult companion

Registration is now open for fall and winter terms! Members receive a discount. For the Member code, email with your full name and Membership I.D.

The magic word is collaboration: explore together to discover the world through art, play fun gallery games, and create your own masterpieces in the studio. Whether sketching stone creatures in our Sculpture Garden or hunting for ancient materials in our Egyptian galleries, together you and your child will unlock the power of your imagination.

2019–20 Schedule:

Fall: Imagining Tomorrow
Sundays, October 6–December 15, 2019 (no class October 13, November 10, and December 1), 1:30–3 pm
Eight sessions: $218, Members $156
Single-day option (includes Museum general admission): $29; $22 Members

Single-day option, ticketed special exhibitions (covers one child and one adult): $31; $23 Members
This fall, we’ll think about the future we want to see, drawing inspiration from the artists and activists of Nobody Promised You Tomorrow: Art 50 Years After Stonewall and designing our own futuristic outfits as seen in Pierre Cardin: Future Fashion.

Winter: Art and Activism
Sundays, January 5–February 9, 2020 (no class January 19), 11 am–12:30 pm and 1:30–3 pm
Five sessions: $130, Members $97.50

In our winter classes, we’ll spend time with exhibitions—such as Jacques-Louis David Meets Kehinde Wiley—that consider what it means to be an active member of our communities. We’ll create our own sculptures and portraits, then work together to make an art installation.

Spring: Art Around the World
Sundays, March 1–April 5, 2020, 1:30–3 pm
Six sessions: $156, Members $117

Travel the world without hopping on a plane! We’ll look at art in our collections and special exhibitions from ancient Egypt to the arts of Asia, and experiment with different art mediums each week. Guest performance artists join some sessions as we enliven the galleries through movement.

Unless otherwise noted, all registrations are valid for one child and up to two adults.
