Youth Tours: Art at Two

Journey through art at home with our experienced teen staff in daily online talks designed for children ages 5–10. During these 30-minute lessons, kids will learn about works of art at the Museum and the stories that connect them, explore art materials, and engage in fun activities at home. We offer five different sessions:

  • Go Figure!: Enter the realm of multiple dimensions and learn how artists manipulate materials to bring them to life.
  • Shades of Change: Witness how art can be used to create change and fight for justice.
  • Egypt: Journey to Kemet: Explore ancient Egyptian art and its impact on the African continent and around the world.
  • Earth in Crisis: Get inspired by artists that engage with environmental activism, and see how Earth's natural resources appear in art.
  • Roots and Routes: Unearth the origin stories of artworks and their mysterious journeys to the Brooklyn Museum.

Talks are offered live on Zoom Monday through Thursday from 2 to 2:30 pm, July 20–August 13, 2020. Lessons are designed for ages 5 to 10, but older youth are welcome to participate (please let us know in your registration form so we can accommodate all students). All sessions are free, but registration is required. To join in, just reserve your spot by 12 pm each day, and you’ll receive a Zoom link one hour before the session.
