Teen Night: Teens Parkway
Celebrate Brooklyn’s creativity and 14 years of the Brooklyn Museum’s Teen Nights, a teen-led program centered on art and activism! This evening will feature art-making, performances, and much more, all inspired by The Brooklyn Artists Exhibition, a major group show uniting more than 200 artists. Find it all at 200 Eastern Parkway—renamed Teens Parkway for this special night.
Schedule
5–6 pm Sketching and panel discussion
Grab drawing supplies and sketch in The Brooklyn Artists Exhibition. Then, join artist Ruby Chishti and up-and-coming teen artist Jerome Foster for a viewing of Foster’s short film Get Fly or Die. Listen in as both artists share their creative processes and inspirations in a discussion moderated by BkM Teens.5:45–7:15 pm Art-making and food
Enjoy snacks, design your own MetroCard, create a street sign, check out teen organizations around the city, respond to our TalkBack Walls, and more.6–7:30 pm Performances
Close out the evening with performances by Urban Word’s poets, BRIEL the Artist, Big Steppa Lani, and DJ Synchro.
