    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Bowl; silver, polychrome gilding. Short, double foot ring supports circular bowl with straight, slightly concave sides. Foot ring, interior of bowl and narrow band on exterior of rim are gilded. Sides of bowl have hammered ground on which branches of seaweed and coral are engraved, some of which are gilded in gold and copper color. Cast, applied ornament is applied to the bowl and comprise one large fish, gilded copper color; three small fish, one gilded gold the other copper; two small, narrow fish, one gilded gold the other copper. Between each group of fish, at base of bowl, are clusters of seashells variously gilded copper and gold color.
