Martha A. and Robert S. Rubin Pavilion, 1st Floor, and Beaux-Arts, 3rd Floor

Join us for our tenth annual LGBTQ+ Teen Night, a teen-led program centered on art and activism! This evening will highlight a range of art-making, performances, and much more, inspired by Oscar yi Hou: East of sun, west of moon.

Schedule:

5–6 pm Gallery activities: Join our InterseXtions teen staff in a self-guided scavenger hunt and game of crosswords in Oscar yi Hou: East of sun, west of moon, followed by a teen-moderated artist talk with Augustina Wang, titled “In the Saloon: De-Westernizing Art.”

5:30–7:15 pm Art-making and food: Enjoy free snacks, create your own flag, personalize a star badge, take photos in our photo booth, respond to our Talkback Walls, and more!

6–7:30 pm Performances: Close out the evening with drag performer Constance and music by Saint Ahmad and DJ PURP. Plus, share your own talents at our open mic!

This program is free; registration is encouraged. Open to all teens 14+. Follow #bkmteens on Instagram and Facebook for more details. All participants must abide by our community agreements.

LGBTQ+ Teen Night is organized by InterseXtions, our paid LGBTQ+ teen internship in queer art history and community programming.
