What is Anasazi?
The Anasazi was the older term for the native people originating in what is now the American Southwest. But Anasazi actually means "Enemy in Navajo", a people who were not in the Southwest until later. Today we are changing the term to be more accurately called Ancestral Pueblo (Anasazi). Descendents hail from Acoma and other Pueblos in the Four-Corners region.
