Description Inkwell. Bronze, brass, and glass. Art Nouveau style. Spherical dome of hammered brass serves as cover. Inkpot is of clear amber bottle glass. Body is in form of segmented obelisk; small spheres at each upper corner. On top surface is inlaid a mosaic parquetry of iridescent glass over which are set four fantastic bee-like insects, all facing towards sphere. Sides of body cast with four similar insects, all facing towards sphere. Sides of body cast with four similar insects over rusticated background. Square base with depressed, curving sides with lip at outer edge to serve as containers for pens, etc. In front, curved portion of base pulls out to reveal a shallow drawer. New York
