Chancellor’s Conference Day: So You Want to Work on Arts Integration

Thursday, June 4, 2015

9:30 am–3 pm

Education Division, 1st Floor

NOTE: This program is now full.

Cost: $26

Visual art can help you connect with your students, no matter who they are and what you’re working on together. This day-long professional learning opportunity will give you the chance to choose two out of three different workshops designed to help you integrate art into your teaching. Each one is hosted by an experienced museum educator who will lead you through participatory activities for bringing art into your classroom:

  • Work on Writing: See how art can be the spark that helps improve your students’ writing skills
  •
  • Make Smart Use of Smart Devices: Learn techniques to combine visual art and digital technology in your teaching
  •
  • Rethink Gender: Explore how teaching with art can open the door for approaching multiple gender identities in the classroom

If you’re a K–12 teacher of any subject, this day is for you. When you register, please sign up for the two workshops that interest you most. We’ll provide breakfast, lunch, and all the materials you need, including free teacher resources.

This program is now full. If you have questions about the event, please email us.
