Bernarda de la Cerda
b. 1595, Oporto, Portugal; d. 1644, Lisbon
Bernarda de la Cerda (de Lacerda) was a Portuguese writer, scholar, and dramatist whose elegant lyrical poetry was known throughout Spain and Portugal. She published two volumes of poems, Hespaña libertada (1618) and Soledades de Buçaco (1634).
