Teens: Gallery/Studio Program

Registration is now open for spring 2023!

The Gallery/Studio Program offers fun, challenging studio art courses. Be inspired by professional teaching artists and spend time discussing artworks from our exhibitions, learn new skills and techniques, and create your own art using both new and traditional materials. Classes are available for children, teens, and adults. All levels of experience welcome! 

Spring 2023 course

Painting: Intersections of Identity
Sundays, 1:30–3:30 pm
Explore who you are with painting, inspired by the work of Oscar yi Hou. Peel back the layers of your identity and explore how art can represent the complexities of a person. Using acrylic paint, grow your skills in brushwork, then ramp up to the next level with mixed-media techniques that bring a message to your work. End the semester with your own creative depiction of what makes you, you. Register

All classes are two hours long.

Course fees
$285; Members: $265
Members receive a $20 discount on all Gallery/Studio Program courses. Not a Member? Join today!

Scholarships
Scholarships are available for all youth and teen classes. Completed applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. After applying, you’ll be notified by email if you are eligible for discounted registration.

Work-as-Assistant
Check out Creative Practice, our paid internship for teens! Explore art, education, and museum careers as you build your résumés by working with our teaching artists to assist in classes for students of all ages.

Parking
Parking is available for Gallery/Studio Program students and families. After the free 15-minute drop-off period, the hourly rate applies.

We also offer classes for kids and adults.
