The Gallery/Studio Program offers fun and challenging studio art courses. Be inspired and guided by professional teaching artists and create your own art with new and traditional materials. All levels of experience welcome!
Spring 2019 Courses
Photography: Crafted Identity
Saturdays, 1:30–3:30 pm
Visit Frida Kahlo: Appearances Can Be Deceiving and see how artists use their creative vision to create self-crafted identities. Learn how to operate a digital camera, construct your backgrounds, and take your own inventive self-portraits.
Drawing: The Self and the Other
Sundays, 1:30–3:30 pm
Study anatomy, proportion, and composition as you develop skills with charcoal, graphite, and colored pencils. Find inspiration in our collections from around the world and discover how artists paint themselves and people from other cultures.

Saturday sessions: March 2–May 12 (no class April 20)
Sunday sessions: March 3–May 13 (no class April 21)
All classes are two hours long.
Members: $265; non-Members: $285

Check out our work-study program! In exchange for a free course, work-study teens assist in a class, work with students on a one-to-one basis, prep supplies, and support a great learning environment. Apply by January 20.
Scholarships are available for all youth and teen classes. Completed applications may be submitted to the Museum in person or by mail, and must be received by January 20.
Parking is available for Gallery/Studio Program students and families. After the free 15-minute drop-off period, the hourly rate applies.
